Valley Larder

Local makers

Local makers are the people who sell their goods through us on consignment. We also stock a few store-bought items ourselves, like Faber-Castell markers.

Made by people who live and work in the valley.

Fingal Valley Larder

Have a look in the shop

The Fingal Valley is full of clever, creative people, and now you can buy what they make from anywhere in Australia. Fingal Valley Larder is our little online shop for books, craft and other good things made by locals, packed and posted from the Fingal Post Office.

We post books, craft, cards, jewellery and pantry goods, and jams and honey too. Glass jars are carefully packed to travel safely. Stock is small batch and depends on what our makers have on hand, so when something's gone, it may be a while before it's back.

How it works

  1. Add to cart. Choose your items, then post or free pickup at Fingal Post Office. Prices are in Australian dollars and include GST. Checkout is in test mode for now, so no real payments are taken.
  2. Postage or pickup. We post Australia wide (except honey to WA and NT). We'll confirm postage before you pay. Prefer to pick up? Collect free from the Fingal Post Office and we'll let you know when it's ready.
  3. We pack and post. Every order is packed with care at the post office.

About the makers

Everything in the Larder is made by people who live and work in the Fingal Valley. Some are writers, some are crafters, and some make the kind of jam you'd normally only find at a country show. When you buy from the Larder, you're backing a local maker and helping keep our little post office busy.
